Abstract
Hong Kong zombie films, especially those starring Ching-Ying Lam, carry strong social significance and have left a deep impression on most audiences. One of the key elements contributing to this is sound, which serves to create atmosphere, shape character images, and evoke intense psychological responses in viewers. This paper explores the classification and characteristics of Hong Kong zombie films, as well as the expression of sound elements in different forms of these films, aiming to fill the gap in sound research related to horror films.
